21st Annual Garden Bowl

The 21st Annual Garden Bowl put the "fun" in fundraising at Uncle Sam Lanes in Troy. Thanks to more than 100 bowlers, a number of local businesses and many supporters, Capital Roots raised more than $20,000 - what an event! Our very own CEO, Amy Klein, strapped on some bowling shoes and gave it a try. Thank you to all who donated and participated.

Proceeds from the event benefit Capital Roots' fresh food access, urban greening and education programs.

Families, friends and businesses formed teams and competed for the highest score. Competition heated up as teams got creative with matching T-shirts and outfits. In between all the action, Capital Roots raffled off gift baskets and awarded bowlers with prizes like ski passes and gift certificates, and many people took a chance at the 50/50.

Thank you to everyone for a fantastic afternoon of fun. We're already looking forward to next year!
