Lookout for our Squash Hunger bins

Through this important community program, we ensure fresh, top-quality produce makes its way to the places that need it most: our region's emergency feeding programs. Here's how it works: While you're shopping, pick up some extra produce and drop it off at any of Capital Roots' Squash Hunger bins. (These bins are also great solutions for that excess harvest from your garden.) Then Capital Roots and a team of volunteers pick it up weekly and deliver it to the region's soup kitchens, food pantries, and shelters. It's honestly, that simple.

So, keep an eye out for our bins at the following locations:

Capital Roots' Urban Grow Center - 594 River Street,Troy
- Honest Weight Food Co-op - 100 Watervliet Avenue, Albany
- Niskayuna Co-Op - 2227 Nott Street, Schenectady
- Delmar Market Place - 406 Kenwood Ave, Delmar
- Burmaster Farms - 189 Saratoga Road (Route 50), Scotia
*starting June 15th*
