Produce Project students are getting their hands dirty, even in the winter!

Students from Capital Roots’ Produce Project have their hands in the dirt harvesting arugula, spinach and kale. Students learn to plant, tend and harvest a wide variety of organic vegetables in this program. Sheltered under two high-tunnels, students have the ability to grow these fresh foods all year long, participating in weekly cooking classes along the way to learn how best to prepare them. From seed to harvest, students are able to learn about fresh, accessible food, grown by their very own hands.
