Squash Hunger Holds First Summer Gleaning

Summer is in full swing, which means Capital Roots' Squash Hunger team is busy gleaning farm fields around the Region! Last week, Capital Roots had the first gleaning of the season at Barber's Farm and distributed the top quality produce to local pantries and shelters. Thank you to Barber's Farm for hosting the Squash Hunger team and donating your excess crops to help feed hungry families with great local food!

If you or a group of friends are interested in volunteering in an 'all-hands on deck' gleaning, we would love to connect. Please email volunteer@capitalroots.org for information on upcoming gleanings.
