What Tastes Good?

Broccoli, bananas and kale taste good! That’s what kids are saying after giving fruits and veggies a try with Capital Roots. The Taste Good Series is a six-week-long nutrition education program for children in pre-school through second grade. Capital Roots' Garden Educator visits inner-city classrooms throughout Albany, Rensselaer and Schenectady counties, introducing a different produce variety each week. Our lessons include games, age-appropriate science experiments, tasting of course and more! Our hands-on approach to learning engages students in the process of developing their own healthy lifestyles. Learning about where food comes from and how it affects the body is an invaluable skill that will serve each child for a lifetime.
