It is a centrally coordinated facility 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲—connecting farms to families, institutions, and communities in a way that’s efficient, equitable, and sustainable.
A Growing Hub for a Growing Region
For years, our previous Food Hub struggled to keep up with the demand. With limited space and storage, handling local farm deliveries was a challenge, and we knew we needed to do more.
Today, thanks to our expanded Food Hub, we have the space, equipment, and infrastructure to serve thousands more across 𝗔𝗹𝗯𝗮𝗻𝘆, 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗲𝗿, 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗮𝗱𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀.
What’s Inside the Expanded Food Hub
• 𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸-𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 — room to store larger, more diverse farm deliveries.
• 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲-𝗼𝗳-𝘁𝗵𝗲-𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘇𝗲𝗿 & 𝗯𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿 — keeping food fresh longer and reducing waste.
• 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 — allows us to handle bulk purchases and stabilize prices.
• 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝘂𝘁-𝗮𝗻𝗱-𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 — turning raw produce into ready-to-use products for schools, soup kitchens, and other institutions.
• 𝗨𝗦𝗗𝗔 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 — ensuring food safety and quality at every step.
By buying in bulk from local farms, we’re able to keep costs low while expanding access to fresh, healthy food for:
